Bespoke Luxury Presentation Box with Precision Laser Cut Card Insert

We were commissioned to design and manufacture a contemporary luxury presentation box for a premium spirits brand. The brief was to create an elegant gift box that showcased a whisky bottle and two crystal glasses while maintaining a clean, sophisticated appearance. One of the key requirements was to avoid traditional foam inserts and instead develop a fully sustainable, precision-engineered card insert.

Working closely with the client, we explored a number of design concepts and prototype layouts before selecting a bespoke laser cut card insert that securely held each component in place without compromising the premium presentation. The finished design offers both excellent product protection and a refined, minimalist aesthetic.

The presentation box was manufactured using premium rigid board with a concealed magnetic closure, creating a robust book-style gift box with a luxury feel. Both the exterior and interior were finished with a high-quality paper wrap before being hot foil printed in metallic orange, adding a subtle yet distinctive branded finish that complements the modern design.

Instead of using foam, we designed a custom laser cut laminated card insert to precisely accommodate the whisky bottle and two crystal glasses. Each cavity was CAD designed and laser cut to achieve a perfect fit, ensuring the contents remain secure during transport while creating a beautifully organised presentation when the box is opened.

The laser cutting process allowed us to achieve exceptionally clean edges and tight tolerances that would have been difficult to replicate using traditional die-cutting methods. The result is an environmentally conscious packaging solution that delivers both structural integrity and a premium customer experience.

Every presentation box was assembled, inspected, and finished in our workshop to ensure consistent quality throughout the production run. This project demonstrates how thoughtful product design, precision laser cutting, and luxury finishing techniques can be combined to create high-end packaging without relying on foam or plastic inserts.
