Krintech Ltd is one of the UK’s leading specialists in professional glass engraving, bottle engraving, glass printing and sandblasting services. Working from our London workshop, we produce premium quality engraved glassware for corporate gifts, luxury packaging, promotional merchandise, awards, hospitality, retail and bespoke personalised products.
Whether you require a single engraved champagne bottle or thousands of branded beer glasses, we offer a complete in-house service using a range of specialist techniques to achieve the perfect finish for your project.
Every project is different, which is why we offer several methods of decorating glass. Each process has its own advantages depending on the product, budget and desired appearance.
Our services include:
Our experienced team will recommend the most suitable process for your application.
Laser glass etching is our most economical engraving solution.
Using a high-precision CO₂ laser, your artwork is digitally imported into our engraving software before the laser permanently frosts the surface of the glass. The process is fast, repeatable and ideal for promotional products and high-volume production.
Laser engraving produces a clean white frosted finish with excellent detail but does not engrave into the glass itself.
This process is particularly suitable for:
Laser engraving offers outstanding value where a professional appearance is required at a competitive cost.
For customers looking for the finest possible finish, sandblasted glass engraving is our premium service.
Unlike laser etching, sandblasting physically engraves into the surface of the glass, creating a beautifully smooth frosted finish with a noticeable depth.
This traditional process is more labour intensive but produces results that are widely regarded as the highest standard of glass engraving available.
Everything is completed entirely in-house by our experienced engraving technicians.
Every sandblasted project begins by preparing your artwork into a specialist photographic stencil.
The artwork is exposed onto a light-sensitive film before being developed to create a durable adhesive stencil.
The stencil is then carefully applied to the glass using specialist rollers and brushes to eliminate every air bubble and ensure perfect adhesion.
The remainder of the glass is professionally masked to protect it during blasting.
Inside our sandblasting cabinet, a pressurised blasting gun propels a fine abrasive media across the exposed areas of the stencil using controlled sweeping motions. This gently cuts into the glass surface to produce an exceptionally smooth engraved finish.
Once complete, the masking and stencil are removed and every engraved area is carefully cleaned and polished by hand to reveal a crisp, premium-quality engraving.
One of the major advantages of sandblasting is that we can engrave to different depths.
By carefully increasing the blasting time, we can produce engravings with a noticeable recess that can be felt with your fingertip.
This gives logos, lettering and artwork a luxurious three-dimensional appearance and creates a far more premium finish than surface etching.
Deep engraving is especially popular on:
We also offer a professional colour fill service for sandblasted glass.
After creating a deeper engraving, the recessed areas can be filled with specialist pigments or paints to create stunning visual contrast.
Popular colours include:
Everything is completed entirely in-house by our experienced engraving technicians.
Metallic gold and silver pigments are particularly popular on champagne, whisky and luxury perfume bottles, adding an elegant metallic sheen that creates an exceptional premium finish.
Because the colour sits inside the engraved recess, the finished product has remarkable depth and durability.
For certain applications we also offer computer-controlled diamond glass scribing.
This specialist process uses a precision diamond stylus to physically scratch the glass surface under computer control.
Artwork is imported directly into the software before the machine accurately reproduces logos, lettering and designs onto the glass.
Glass scribing creates a distinctive engraved appearance that differs from both laser engraving and sandblasting and is particularly suitable for:
One significant advantage of our sandblasting process is the ability to engrave awkward and curved objects.
Our flexible photo stencils wrap neatly around curved surfaces, allowing us to engrave items that are impossible or difficult to process using standard CO₂ laser equipment without a rotary attachment.
We regularly engrave:
This flexibility makes sandblasting the preferred choice for premium bottle engraving.
For permanent full-colour decoration, we produce artwork using specialist ceramic inks printed onto transfer paper.
The printed transfer is applied to the glass using a traditional water-slide process before the glass is fired in a kiln at temperatures of approximately 400°C.
During firing, the ceramic pigments permanently bond into the glass surface, creating an exceptionally durable finish.
This is the same process widely used for branded beer glasses, wine glasses and barware found in pubs, restaurants and hotels.
The finished decoration is highly resistant to washing and everyday use.
Ideal applications include:
For more delicate glassware that cannot safely withstand kiln firing, we offer professional screen printing.
This process uses specialist resin-based inks that provide excellent durability while avoiding the high temperatures required for ceramic firing.
Screen printing is ideal for:
Because these items are more susceptible to thermal stress, screen printing provides an excellent alternative while maintaining a high-quality appearance.
We engrave an extensive range of glass products, including:
From a single personalised gift to large production runs, we can engrave almost any suitable glass item.
To achieve the best engraving quality, we recommend supplying artwork in vector format.
Preferred formats include:
For simple artwork we can also work from high-resolution JPEG or PNG files.
For engraving, artwork must be supplied as solid black and white.
Please note we cannot engrave:
If your artwork is unsuitable, our design team can recreate it into a production-ready vector file.
For colour printing and ceramic transfers we require full-colour artwork supplied as AI, EPS or PDF files. Before production begins, we will provide a digital proof for your approval.
Every type of glass reacts differently during engraving due to variations in composition and manufacturing.
Before commencing production, we test each glass type to determine the correct engraving settings.
For laser engraving, we also apply a protective coating to the glass surface to minimise thermal stress and help produce a clean, even frosted finish while reducing the risk of surface damage.
