Bespoke LED Wall Display Case for 1:43 Scale Ferrari Model Cars

This bespoke LED wall-mounted display case was designed and manufactured for a passionate Ferrari model car collector who wanted a contemporary way to showcase their collection of 1:43 scale Ferrari diecast models. The brief was to create a display that not only protected the models but also illuminated each vehicle individually, transforming the collection into a striking feature for the home or office.

Designed entirely in-house, this custom display combines precision laser cutting, acrylic fabrication, LED lighting, and stainless steel detailing to create a premium presentation case with a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

The main cabinet was manufactured from 12mm Foamex PVC, providing a lightweight yet rigid structure suitable for wall mounting. The internal framework and display features were precision laser cut from 3mm white acrylic, while the front glazing was produced from 3mm clear acrylic, allowing uninterrupted views of the collection while protecting the models from dust and handling.

To create the signature illuminated effect, we designed a bespoke LED backlit panel concealed within the rear of the cabinet. The LED lighting is diffused through an opal white acrylic panel, producing a soft, even glow across the entire display. This indirect lighting beautifully highlights each model while creating a sophisticated floating effect.

One of the standout features is the Ferrari emblem, which was precision laser cut from 0.5mm brushed stainless steel. Mounted over the illuminated opal acrylic panel, the emblem creates an elegant backlit focal point that adds depth and reinforces the premium appearance of the display.

Each individual model is supported on laser cut 3mm clear acrylic shelves, which slot directly into the illuminated rear panel. The transparent shelves appear almost invisible, allowing the Ferrari models to seem as though they are floating within the display while benefiting from subtle underlighting.

Every component of the display case was designed, laser cut, fabricated, assembled, and tested in our workshop to ensure a flawless finish. The result is a modern, museum-quality display case that combines precision engineering with elegant lighting, making it the perfect showcase for valuable diecast model collections.

This design has proven extremely popular with model car enthusiasts, collectors, and luxury automotive showrooms, and can be customised to accommodate different model scales, vehicle brands, lighting colours, and display configurations.
