Bespoke Clear Acrylic Tube Display Cases for Diecast Model Cars
We were commissioned by Silent Autos Model Cars, a specialist diecast model retailer, to design and manufacture a distinctive display case that would showcase their premium model cars in a way that stood apart from conventional rectangular display boxes. The objective was to create a display case with real visual impact that would enhance the presentation of every collectible vehicle while offering excellent protection.
Working closely with the client, we developed a unique clear acrylic tube display case that combines modern styling with precision engineering. The curved tubular design gives the display a striking architectural appearance, creating a dynamic presentation that immediately draws attention to the model inside. The concept not only protects the model from dust and handling but also transforms it into a premium display piece suitable for collectors and retail environments.
The main body of the case was manufactured from crystal-clear cast acrylic tube, supplied by one of our specialist acrylic partners. The supporting base, internal display cradle, and end caps were all precision laser cut in-house from high-quality clear acrylic using our CAD-generated cutting files.
The internal display platform was carefully designed to securely support the model car while allowing it to be viewed from every angle. Each display stand was laser engraved with the manufacturer’s logo, creating a bespoke presentation that enhances the branding of every model displayed within the case.
The laser-cut acrylic end panels are secured using precision stainless steel fixings, allowing the case to be easily assembled or opened when models need to be changed. All acrylic components were professionally fabricated, polished, and assembled in our workshop to achieve the highest possible finish, with crystal-clear edges that complement the premium appearance of the display.
One of the key design features is the stackable construction, allowing multiple display cases to be safely stacked while maintaining a clean, contemporary appearance. This made the system particularly popular with high-end car dealerships, luxury showrooms, specialist retailers, and private collectors looking for an elegant way to display valuable diecast models.
Every display case was designed, laser cut, fabricated, polished, and assembled entirely in-house, demonstrating our expertise in bespoke acrylic fabrication, laser cutting, and custom retail display solutions.
