Inspired by the breathtaking carved marble dome of the Luna Vasahi Jain Temple, part of the renowned Dilwara Temples in Rajasthan, India, this exceptional multi-layer CO₂ laser cut architectural artwork is a highly detailed artist’s interpretation and replica model of one of the world’s greatest masterpieces of stone craftsmanship. Designed as a bespoke commission, the finished piece was created as a luxury decorative wall sculpture and exclusive custom gift.
Every element of the artwork was meticulously recreated using advanced CO₂ laser cutting technology. Hundreds of individual components were digitally drawn before being precision laser cut to reproduce the remarkable floral carvings, sacred geometric patterns and architectural ornamentation found within the original 13th-century marble dome. The intricate laser cutting allows even the finest decorative details to be faithfully recreated with exceptional accuracy.
The artwork is constructed from multiple precision-cut acrylic layers, each individually manufactured and carefully assembled by hand in our workshop. As the layers are built up, the design develops remarkable depth and dimension, producing a dramatic three-dimensional relief that closely reflects the complexity of the original marble carving. The interplay of light and shadow across the layered construction creates an ever-changing visual effect, giving the finished piece a striking sculptural quality.
Every stage of the project was completed in-house, from the original CAD artwork and component design through to laser cutting, fabrication, finishing and final assembly.
